Registration Process

The NGO (Amendment) Act 2022 requires that an organization must be registered with the NGO Regulatory Authority before it starts operating in Malawi. The registration procedure is as follows;

Step 3: Attach Documents on MyNGO

1. Complete an online Registration Form using the MyNGO platform. Registration is strictly online via MyNGO.

2.Attach the following documents on the myNGO platform:
– A Certified Copy of the organization’s Constitution
– Provide Sworn Affidavits for at least two Directors/Trustees as the Act provides on section 20(2)
– A Certified Copy of a Certificate of Incorporation
– A plan of activities which the organization intends to undertake;
– A Letter of Approval/MoU from the responsible Government Ministry for your planned activities
– Proof of Payment of Registration Fee of MK 250,000

The Registration Fee should be deposited into: National Bank, NGO Regulatory Authority, 459728, Capital City, Lilongwe. Registration fee is paid once off upon registration. The replacement fee for lost or damaged registration certificates is MK50,000
