Parliament recently passed the NGO Amendment Bill and it is currently awaiting to be assented to by the State President of the Republic of Malawi, His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera. The Bill among other things renames the Non Governmental Organisations Board of Malawi (NGO Board) into an NGO Regulatory Authority.
As the Board is preparing to re-brand and create a new identity, it has organised a competition for the design of a logo and tagline for the exclusive use of the soon to be Regulatory Authority.
RULES
- The competition is open to individuals or teams who will be required to submit one entry for the logo and tagline
- All submitted work must be original to the entrants and not based on pre-existing design
- Entries must include proposed NGO Regulatory Authority corporate colors
- All entries will become property of the NGO Regulatory Authority. By submitting an entry, entrants agree that all intellectual property rights in the logo and tagline will be assigned to the Regulatory Authority
- The NGO Regulatory Authority reserves the right to modify the winning logo and tagline to fit its needs
- Entries should not be imprinted or watermarked
- The decision of the selection committee shall be final

SUBMISSION
Submission of entries should be done separately for the logo and the tagline. Submissions must include name, postal address, phone number and email address of the entrant/s.
Closing date for submissions is Monday, 25th April, 2022 at 4:30PM
Entries must be submitted in full color both by email and printed form. Email: registrar@ngoboard.mw with Logo Design Contest as the subject. For the printed form, submissions must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked Logo Design Contest and submitted in a Tender Box at the NGO Board Offices, Off Paul Kagame Road, Behind Lingadzi Inn, Next to MASM Clinic in Lilongwe.

ABOUT THE NGO REGULATORY AUTHORITY
After being assented to, the new law will rename the NGO Board of Malawi into an NGO Regulatory Authority. The authority will be a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament with the sole mandate of registering and regulating operations of NGOs in Malawi.
