NGO Registration Requirements

The following are the registration requirements:

  1. A certified Copy of the organisations Constitution
  2. Details of all trustees or board members (For International NGOs, provide sworn Affidavits of at least two Malawian Directors/Trustees) as the Act Provides in Section 20(2)
  3. A certified copy of a Certificate of Incorporation
  4. A plan of activities which the organization intends to undertake
  5. A letter of Approval/MoU from the responsible Government Ministry for your planned Activities
  6. Proof of Payment of Registration Fee of MK250, 000

The registration fee should be deposited into: National Bank, NGO Regulatory Authority, Account Number, 459728, Capital City, Lilongwe.

Registration fee is paid once off upon registration. The replacement fee for lost or damaged registration certificates is MK50,000
