NGORA Engages Project HOPE Leadership on Compliance and Funding Shifts
NGORA CEO Mr. Voice Mhone welcomed Project HOPE Malawi’s Regional Director, Mr. Steven Nero, and Country Representative, Ms. Tiwonge Moyo, during a courtesy call. Discussions focused on compliance status and the changing funding landscape for Sub-Saharan African NGOs, particularly following the transition of USAID programs to the U.S. Department of State.
The delegates highlighted both challenges and opportunities arising from this shift and recommended further engagement with the American Embassy for deeper insights. The meeting reaffirmed NGORA and Project HOPE’s shared commitment to strengthening compliance, adapting to evolving funding mechanisms, and building resilient partnerships that empower communities across the region.
